“If you’ve never been chased by a lion then you’re not living up to your full potential.” WLB, Age 9

My family and I have talked about launching Full Potential Tees for a few years and we are excited to finally put all the pieces together.

While driving our son Winter to soccer practice one day, he was telling me something he saw the day before on TV about animals – suddenly he let out a laugh and said, “If you’ve never been chased by a lion then you’re not living up to your full potential.”

Right away I loved it. At only 9 years old, he came up with a classic quote and I told him we have to do something with it. I had a t-shirt made for him and a few kids at school asked about where they could get one. This was when the idea of Full Potential Tees was formed and has continued to evolve.

To me, there are so many elements that make that quote stand out. First, if a lion is actually chasing you then you are definitely going to push yourself to your limits to get away. It reminds us that we all have something that pushes us to reach our own full potential. Maybe it’s a little voice driving us to be the best we can or it’s our family and friends cheering us on. As parents we are always encouraging our kids to do their best and it is a key part of their learning experiences. We all want our children to strive to be the best they can no matter what they pursue. It could be sports, music, art, or school. Really, it’s anything they go out and do to the best of their ability.

The idea for Full Potential Tees developed alongside my sports photography passion. Over the last few years, I’ve improved my skills through constant practice at all types of sporting events. All the photos on Full Potential Tees come from Patrick Bresin Photography. Capturing youth sports in the greater Philadelphia area has allowed for me to document athletes of all skill levels growing and developing. Collaborating with school booster clubs, travel club sports, and community events, I enjoy capturing the moment.
